Kaylee is a hound dog who had a problem. Her legs had become arthritic and getting around had become difficult. Kaylee was deeply attached to her humans and it was her duty to be by their side at all times. But how was she to do this when she couldn’t get around? Kaylee needed help, and she needed some pretty creative help!
Kaylee had some surgery to correct an issue. Her back legs had become so painful that they couldn’t even support her when she stood. If she couldn’t stand, how was she going to toddle along after family members, helping them do their many strange human activities throughout the day?
Kaylee couldn’t figure this one out on her own. She needed the loving help of her humans.
Dad Comes To The Rescue
Sara Morris first posted video and photos of her dog Kaylee with her new cart. Sara’s father observed Kaylee’s predicament and went to the garage to tool around on his day off. He designed a cart using materials found around the house. Kaylee would be able to ride around on the cart as family members pulled her around!
She could rest and still be involved with family activities. She could follow her family again- literally!
Now Kaylee Gets Around Again!
Now Kaylee can be pulled around by family members while she rests her tired body. She still gets low-impact exercises and other healthy interaction as well. How could she not, when her family loves her this much! Way to go, Dad! Not only did he help Kaylee, but he demonstrated our human ability to solve problems!
Let’s all be that creative!
